Vision
Our vision is to help strengthen underserved communities by establishing purposeful partnerships and building sustainable businesses and organizations that are rooted in integrity, focused on high-value exchange, and driven to excel in customer experience.
Beginnings
A Beaufort NC native, Johnson was reared in Tarboro, NC where he graduated high school. His parents instilled into him at an early age the value of education, hard work and giving back. With that in mind, he moved to Greensboro, NC and earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Finance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Legacy of Leadership
Johnson has cultivated a successful career becoming a proficient business leader. As chief executive officer of Johnson Automotive Group (JAG), Johnson has leveraged his education and business acumen to propel the organization to become one of the largest Black-owned franchise dealer groups in the country spanning several states.
Johnson, a humble visionary, is well aware that the levels of success he’s reached is also a testament to his ability to partner with competent leaders. His ability to be self aware not only enhanced his trajectory to success, it also produced within him the desire to lead through mentorship endeavors helping other entrepreneurs find their way to personal success. In addition to his for-profit ventures, charitable giving has remained a top priority.
Pursuit of Purpose
As a humanitarian, Johnson boldly champions the upliftment of minorities. His continuous involvement with community based programs is distinctly reflected in his philanthropic endeavors. Being raised by an educator helped fuel his passion for closing the opportunity gap by ensuring access to those furthest from opportunity.
Johnson is often recognized for his generous support of public schools, community colleges, and HBCUs.
Johnson, a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., serves on various boards in the Carolinas that provide important resources to underserved communities. In addition to frequently awarding scholarships to students of color and sponsoring community
initiatives that directly benefit local families, Johnson leads professional learning and growth symposiums for minority-owned small businesses and facilitates mentorship programs for aspiring entrepreneurs.
